Periods have a lot of symptoms and some of those symptoms involve physical pain such as cramps in the abdomen, lower back, pelvic region and thighs. Sometimes period pain can also manifest as breast pain, sore nipples, or a headache.
People experience different symptoms and what is normal to one might not be normal to someone else. People can experience low or high flow, painful or painless periods, long or short menstruating days. Hence, it is important to track the period cycle with symptoms as they are experienced.
What is important to know is if you are experiencing extremely painful periods even for 1 or 2 days which interferes with your daily life, consult your doctor with a set of symptoms.
