What is an orgasm?

An orgasm is when an individual experiences the peak of sexual arousal and body fluids are released through the genitals. Orgasms looks different for different people. People with penises experience orgasm when they ejaculate (release of semen from the penis). People with vulva experience orgasm as a feeling of intense physical pleasure and tension. There is an involuntary contraction of the muscles around the genitals. However, orgasms vary from person to person in terms of frequency and intensity.
