What is endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a condition where the tissues that grows in the uterus grows in other parts of the body. While most people with endometriosis experience growth of tissue in the pelvic region which is the ovaries, fallopian tube and around the uterus, it is not restricted to these areas. Endometriosis tissues can also found in the rectum, bladder, intestine, vagina, vulva among other regions.
