What is sperm?

Sperms are the reproductive cells produced by human testes and are shaped like a tadpole. They have three sections – the head, the midsection and the tail. Sperm combined with semen leaves the penis through ejaculation. Sperm when ejaculated in the vagina can travel through the cervix, uterus and to the fallopian tube and fertilize the egg. A sperm when ejaculated can live in the vagina for up to 5 days.
