What is virginity?

Virginity is a social construct and doesn't really exist. It typically defined as having sex for the first time. Many cultures view it as a sign of purity and worth. These same cultures believe that someone is most valuable if they have sex with one person especially after marriage. The honest truth is, virginity is not a marker of someone's character.

There are no biological markers or tests to find out if someone is a virgin. Using the hymen as a marker is dangerous and threatens the lives of innocent women. It's simply used a tool to control women and their bodies.
